Lake Titicaca-Bolivia
Take a boat tour to the Uros Floating Islands and don't skip a visit to Taquile Island. I think it's worth spending a night there for the peace and breathtaking views. Bring some cash for local handicrafts!
Valle de la Luna
My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. The terrain can be a bit tricky and I almost slipped a few times. Hiking boots would have been perfect!
Salar de Uyuni
Lagoon Colorado
Huayna Potosi
Sol de la Manana
Laguna Colorada
My advice is to stay until dusk. The colors change beautifully and it’s way less crowded than during midday when all the tour buses arrive.
Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve
Ambboro National Park
I think investing in a good pair of hiking boots is totally worth it. The terrain can be a bit rocky and slippery, and trust me, your ankles will thank you later!
My advice is to visit during the dry season, from May to October... I went in November and got soaked - it totally put a damper on the whole experience
Torotoro National Park
I recommend bringing snacks and plenty of water because food options are pretty limited in the park. I ran out of energy midway through my hike and had to cut my day short.
My advice is to wear sturdy shoes. Some trails can be slippery and rocky. I slipped once and it made me realize how important good footwear is, especially if you want to explore more of the park.
