Museum of the Old Bridge

I recommend checking out the museum’s closing time; it changes seasonally. I almost missed my chance to visit because I didn’t confirm the hours in advance

If you can, visit on a weekday. It was super crowded on Saturday when I went, which made it hard to enjoy the exhibits without bumping into others.

I suggest getting the combined ticket for both the museum and the Old Bridge. It saves money and time, plus you get to experience two amazing sites.

Don’t forget your camera! The museum has some excellent displays and the views from the bridge are incredible. You'll want to capture all those moments.

Visegrad Bridge
Bascarsija

Keep an eye on your belongings. I heard stories of pickpockets, and I was extra careful. I recommend using a crossbody bag that you can keep close to you while wandering around.

Make sure to check out the little shops selling hand-made crafts and souvenirs. I got a beautiful copper coffee pot for a steal! Just remember to haggle a bit – it's part of the experience!
Don’t rush your visit! I suggest going around 10 AM when the crowd is still manageable. This way, you can take photos without a bunch of people in the background. Trust me, it's way more enjoyable!
Dervish House

Check out the nearby river and take a stroll along the paths; it's a nice way to kill time and soak in the beautiful scenery after visiting the house.

If you're planning to take pictures, avoid mid-day when the sun is harsh. Early morning or late afternoon gives better lighting and fewer shadows for those perfect shots.
Gazi Khusrev Bega Mosque
Sarajevo City Hall

Don't skip the small café inside! It’s a nice spot to take a break and enjoy some local pastries after your visit.

I suggest taking a guided tour—they gave me insights about the architecture and history that I wouldn't have known otherwise. Totally worth the extra time.

I recommend visiting right when it opens at 9 AM to dodge the crowds. The serenity in the morning light is just magical!
