Ibirapuera Park
If you're into art, don’t miss the Museum of Modern Art in the park. It’s free on Sundays, so plan your visit around that for maximum fun without the cost.
lastly wear comfortable shoes! you’ll be doing a lot of walking and the park is huge. trust me sore feet are not the best souvenir from your trip.
Lago Negro
I suggest starting at the opposite side of the park entrance. It’s less crowded, and you can enjoy a more peaceful experience exploring the nature paths.
Check for food trucks near the entrance. The one I tried had amazing local snacks at half the price of the cafes inside! My advice is to plan a picnic instead of eating at the restaurants.
Park Lage
Bring your camera! The architecture and gardens are stunning, and you’ll want to capture those moments.
Check out the café for snacks—some reviews said it was overpriced, but I thought the cakes were delicious!
Tijuca Forest
I suggest you start your hike early, around 7 AM. Trust me, the air is fresh, and you'll avoid the midday heat and the biggest crowds.
wear good shoes, but also think about your socks. i went with cotton ones and ended up with blisters. go for moisture-wicking to avoid that.
For stunning views, hike to the Vista Chinesa. It's a bit of a climb, but that view is totally worth it. I was wowed when I got there!
Lensois-Maranienses National Park
Don’t forget to pack a reusable water bottle! There are spots to refill, and it helped me save money instead of buying plastic bottles all day.
I recommend bringing cash, especially for local food stalls and activities. Some places don't take cards, and you'll miss out on delicious snacks if you’re not prepared!
Corrego Grande Municipal Park
Check out the playground areas! They are super fun and well-maintained. I think kids of all ages can have a blast there.
My advice is to bring a camera! The views and nature are beautiful, and you'll regret not capturing the moments when you look back at your trip later.
Wear good walking shoes! The trails can be a bit uneven, and I slipped a couple of times because I wore sandals that weren't the best for hiking.
Chapada dos Veadeyrus
If you're planning to hike to the waterfalls, my advice is to bring snacks and plenty of water. I ran out halfway and regretted not packing more food!
Luz Park
I highly recommend getting to Luz Park early in the morning, around 8 AM, to avoid the crowds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before it gets busy. It's a great time for taking photos too!
My advice is to wear comfortable shoes since the park covers a lot of ground. I wore flip-flops and regretted it after several hours of walking around.
