Lazy Beach
I recommend checking the weather ahead of time, because if it rains, the experience won't be the same and some activities may get canceled. Plan for a sunny day!
My advice is to wear some sturdy flip flops or water shoes – the sand gets pretty hot during midday and you don’t wanna burn your feet while getting to the water.
Busra Waterfall
Tonle Sap
Monivong Bokor National Park
Bring some snacks and water! There are few places to buy food inside the park, so having your supplies will save you time and money during your adventure
Don’t skip the sunset view from the top! I suggest heading to the viewpoint around 5:00 PM. It’s magical and a great way to end your visit.
I highly recommend taking the road less traveled – explore the old French ruins and hidden paths. You’ll find fewer crowds and really unique photo spots! It’s a little off the main trail, but totally worth it.
Phnom Kulen
I recommend wearing sturdy shoes because the paths can be slippery near the waterfalls. I almost slipped a couple of times, so better be safe than sorry!
I suggest bringing extra cash for entrance fees and snacks. Some stalls only take cash, and having some on hand saved me a lot of hassle.
If you can, try to go around 8 AM. The early morning light is fantastic for photos, and you can beat the big crowds!
Cardamom Mountains
Virachey National Park
I suggest getting a local guide, it makes a huge difference navigating those trails and spotting wildlife. I paid a few extra bucks, but it was worth it!
Don't skip carrying extra snacks and water; some treks are longer than expected. I ran out of both and it wasn't fun!
My advice is to visit during the dry season, around November to February. The trails are much easier to navigate, and you’ll see more wildlife out and about.
