Punta de Lobos
I recommend exploring the nearby beaches too. La Puntilla is a hidden gem and way less busy. A perfect spot for a chill afternoon!
If you plan to eat out, check out the smaller local restaurants instead of the touristy ones. They have amazing seafood and prices that won’t break your wallet. My meal was way better at a local spot!
My advice is to bring cash, especially if you want to grab some local street food. Some places don't take cards, and the food is super tasty and affordable!
I think renting a surfboard from one of the local shops is the best move. You can negotiate prices easily and it's often cheaper than big name stores. I saved a few bucks that way!
Renaca Beach
don’t forget your sunscreen and a hat! i totally underestimated the sun, and i ended up with a nasty burn. bringing a cooler with drinks can save you from overpriced beach concessions too!
Cavancha Beach
Don't miss out on the food stalls along the beach! I suggest trying the ceviche; it’s fresh and tasty! Just a heads up, bring cash since some places don’t accept cards, which was an inconvenience for me.
Arica Beach
Scuba Dive with the Underwater Moai Statue
Bring an underwater camera if you have one—believe me, the moai looks amazing underwater! I didn't capture the moment well and regretted not having my GoPro.
