The Great Wall of China
Longji Rice Terrace Scenic Spot

Wear good hiking shoes! The trails can get slippery especially after rain and you want to enjoy the views without worrying about falling.

I suggest trying to visit on a weekday for fewer crowds. It makes the experience so much more peaceful and lets you take better photos

Bring cash! Some small shops and local vendors don't accept cards, and you really don't want to miss out on the tasty snacks and souvenirs.
Shek O Peninsula Viewing Point
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Try to visit the Golden Whip Stream Trail early in the morning. It's absolutely stunning, and the peace and quiet makes for great photos. I regret not going there earlier!

If you're planning to take the cable car up to the Yuanjiajie area, try to go around 7:30 AM. The lines can get super long later in the day, and you want to avoid wasting your precious time!

I totally recommend getting a multi-day pass if you want to explore more. You can easily spend two or three days here, and it saves money compared to buying single day tickets.

When hiking, wear good shoes and bring plenty of water. I made the mistake of wearing flip-flops and ended up with sore feet. Trust me, it’s a trek!
Hua Shan

If you're planning to stay the night, book your accommodation in advance! I thought I could find something last minute, but it was a jam-packed weekend, and I had to scramble.

My advice is to bring snacks and plenty of water. Food and drinks up there can be super pricey, and you don't wanna get famished while hiking.
Kanas Lake

My advice is to take the south trail rather than the north one if you want fewer crowds and a more peaceful experience. I loved the views there much more, plus it was way less congested
Siguniang Mountain
Tiger Leaping Gorge Trekking

Pack snacks and plenty of water before heading out... There aren’t many shops along the trail, and you'll want the energy boost without breaking the bank on overpriced food! I ended up munching on trail mix, and it was a lifesaver
Huangshan Mountain

My advice is to bring snacks and plenty of water. Food around the mountain can be pretty pricey and not the best quality. I wish I had packed more lunch – I ended up paying way more for a mediocre meal.

I recommend taking the cable car up to save your legs for hiking instead of exhausting yourself on the steep paths. It gives you more time to explore the stunning views. Just check the cable car schedule – I missed it and had to wait around
