Ngong Ping Cable Car Tung Chung Station

Consider the round trip ticket for a small savings compared to buying separate tickets for each way. It makes planning easier and you won’t have to worry about purchasing on the way back.

Snag some snacks at the Tung Chung plaza before you board. The food options up at Ngong Ping are a bit limited and pricey; a packed lunch can save you money!

Check the weather before going. A clear day is ideal for those stunning views, but on cloudy days, you might miss out on the scenery and feel disappointed.
Tianmen Mountain

I suggest checking the weather beforehand. It can change quickly, and I ended up missing out on the views because of sudden clouds blocking everything. Bring a light jacket just in case!

If you can, try to get there around 8 AM. The cable cars get super busy later in the day, and trust me, waiting in line for hours isn't fun!

Make sure to wear comfy shoes! I thought I could do this in sandals, but boy was I wrong – the hiking paths are no joke, and you'll want to enjoy them!

Don’t forget to bring snacks! The food options up there can be a bit pricey and not the greatest. I wish I had packed some more goodies.
Hong Kong Cable Car

My advice is to visit during the week, around 10 AM. I went on a Saturday and it was packed—totally not worth the wait. Just more enjoyable with fewer people!

i suggest buying your tickets online the night before; it saved me a ton of time in the morning. the queue was huge, but i walked right in!
Guia Hill Cable Car
my advice is to bring a bit of cash for snacks or drinks at the top. there's a great little café with stunning views, and it's a nice break before heading back down

I suggest visiting on weekdays if you can. The weekends can get pretty crowded and I barely had to wait for my turn on a Tuesday afternoon. It made the whole experience so much smoother!
