Irazu Volcano
Volkan Arenal

I suggest checking out the local hot springs, they’re amazing! Many places offer all-day access for about $50, but I found some cheaper options that were just as relaxing. Ask the locals for their favorites!
My advice is to pack some snacks and water when hiking around the volcano area. The little shops can be pricey and the trails can take longer than expected, trust me on this

If you plan to do the hike around the volcano, get there by 8 AM. It’s cooler, way less crowded, and you might spot more wildlife going about their day. I kinda regret sleeping in a bit!
Arenal Volcano National Park

Skipping the buffet at the park's restaurant could save you some bucks. There’s a local food stall just outside that serves amazing food for way less. I ate there both days!

Watch out for the weather! Mornings can be great but I had a downpour in the afternoon. Bring a poncho just in case; it’ll save you from getting soaked!
Poas
Tenorio Volcano
Cerro Chato Volcano
My advice is to wear good hiking shoes and to start your hike by 7 AM. The trail can get slippery and packed later in the day. Trust me I slipped a few times and it wasn't fun!

I suggest bringing snacks and plenty of water. The hike is longer and tougher than it seems, and having that extra fuel made my experience way better! You wouldn't wanna cut your adventure short because you're starving.
