If you plan on driving up, check the gas station prices in the nearby town first, because they're WAY cheaper there than at the mountain. I ended up spending more than I wanted on fuel!

I suggest wearing good hiking boots; the trails can get pretty rocky and slippery. I wore sneakers and regretted it halfway through – my feet were killing me!
