Krka National Park

Save money by bringing a picnic! There are lovely spots to relax and eat, and it felt great to enjoy lunch surrounded by nature instead of in a crowded café.

Check the park's website for any maintenance updates before you go. A couple of trails were closed during my visit, which was disappointing.

I recommend taking the boat ride between entrances - it’s a beautiful way to see the park and it saves you some walking time as well!
Marjan Forest Park

My advice is to pack some snacks and water. There are a few cafes, but they can get busy, and prices are a bit steep. I regret buying a tiny bottle of water for 3 euros!

Bring a power bank for your phone if you plan to take a bunch of pics. I ran out of battery and missed some amazing views! You never know when you'll want to snap a shot.

I suggest starting your visit around 8 AM. The park is way quieter then, and you'll enjoy the peaceful vibes without the crowd. Plus, the morning light is perfect for photos!

If you're planning to hike, bring good shoes! The paths can be rocky and uneven... I saw a lot of people struggling in flip-flops... Save your feet and take a sturdy pair
Brijuni National Park
Bring some snacks and water with you! The food options on the island are nice but can get pricey. I wish I had brought a packed lunch instead of spending so much on a mediocre sandwich.

Try to arrive around 9 AM to beat the crowds. I got there early on my second day and it was so much nicer without throngs of people everywhere. Plus, the morning views are stunning!

I recommend booking your ferry ticket in advance. When I went, there was a long line at the ticket booth and I ended up waiting while my friends were aboard. Save yourself that hassle and just book it online!
Park Forest Zlatni Rt

If you can, visit right at 8 AM. The morning light is beautiful for photos and you’ll avoid the bigger crowds later in the day!

I suggest wearing good shoes because the paths can get a bit rocky, especially near the coastline. Trust me, it gets uncomfortable fast if you're in sandals!

Make sure to bring snacks and water. I learned the hard way that there aren't many places inside the park to grab a bite, so pack a little picnic!
Kopachka Ryt

I suggest packing a picnic to enjoy by the water. It's a beautiful spot and saves you some cash instead of eating out. Also, there's plenty of lovely spots to lay a blanket!

Make sure to wear comfortable shoes! The paths can get rough if you venture off the main trails, and you don't want sore feet ruining your fun. I've been there, trust me!
Forest Park Velika and Mala Petka

My advice is to arrive around 8 AM to catch the sunrise. It’s absolutely beautiful and way less crowded, giving you more time to explore before the heat kicks in.

If you’re planning on walking to the park, which I recommend, try to take the scenic route along the coast. It's way more enjoyable than the main road. Plus, you save some time dodging traffic!
Park Orsula
Park Josipa Jurja Strossmayera

I recommend visiting the park in the early morning, around 8 AM, to enjoy the peace and quiet before the crowds show up. You can take some really nice photos without people photobombing your shots.

I think it's a great idea to bring some snacks or a picnic. The park is perfect for chilling out, and you can save some cash instead of buying overpriced food nearby. Just grab a sandwich or some fruits from a local shop!
Gradac Park

I think you should bring a picnic. There are lovely spots to relax and enjoy your food while soaking in the views, plus it saves you from pricey cafes nearby.
