Plitvice Lakes National Park

Definitely wear good walking shoes! I wore sandals and regretted it big time. The paths can get slippery, especially around the waterfalls.
Krka National Park

Save money by bringing a picnic! There are lovely spots to relax and eat, and it felt great to enjoy lunch surrounded by nature instead of in a crowded café.

Check the park's website for any maintenance updates before you go. A couple of trails were closed during my visit, which was disappointing.

I recommend taking the boat ride between entrances - it’s a beautiful way to see the park and it saves you some walking time as well!
Znjan City Beach

I recommend checking the weather before you go. I went on a cloudy day thinking it’d be fine, but it drizzled a bit; it’s better to be prepared!
I suggest getting to Znjan Beach a bit earlier, around 9 AM, to snag a good spot; it gets crowded fast, and finding a decent area is a bit tough later on.
My advice is to bring your own beach umbrella or sunshade. I forgot mine, and the sun was brutal—definitely won't make that mistake again!

Don't bother with the overpriced beach bars. I found a local grocery store nearby to grab some snacks and drinks, which saved me a ton of cash!
Zrce Festival Beach

My advice is to check the weather before you go! I didn't, and a sudden rainstorm cut my beach day short. Better safe than sorry!
I think the beach bars offer some pretty good deals during happy hour, so plan your drinks around that. You can save quite a bit if you grab a cocktail between 5-7 PM.

Don’t forget to bring your own towels and snacks. The prices at the beach can be a bit high, and I was shocked by how much a simple sandwich cost
Belvo Beach

Parking can be a nightmare! I recommend finding a nearby public transport option instead. It's cheaper and saves you the stress of hunting for a spot.

I think the beach gets crowded, especially on weekends, so if you can, visit during the week. You'll have more space to spread out and enjoy your day.

Snagging a spot can be tricky during the peak season. My advice is to arrive by 10 AM, or otherwise, you might find yourself right at the back or having to hike a bit.

The sunsets here are stunning! Try to catch it around 8 PM, it's totally worth it. Bring a camera because you won't want to miss those views.
Baredine Cave

Bring a light jacket! It's cooler inside the cave than you'd expect, especially if you're visiting during the summer months.

I suggest checking if they have any special events or discounts on certain days before you go – we managed to snag a reduced ticket price on our visit!

If you want to avoid the crowds, aim to arrive around 10 AM. It was way less busy than the later tours, and we had a more personal experience with our guide.
Dead Sea
Cave Bisevo
Marjan Forest Park

My advice is to pack some snacks and water. There are a few cafes, but they can get busy, and prices are a bit steep. I regret buying a tiny bottle of water for 3 euros!

Bring a power bank for your phone if you plan to take a bunch of pics. I ran out of battery and missed some amazing views! You never know when you'll want to snap a shot.

I suggest starting your visit around 8 AM. The park is way quieter then, and you'll enjoy the peaceful vibes without the crowd. Plus, the morning light is perfect for photos!

If you're planning to hike, bring good shoes! The paths can be rocky and uneven... I saw a lot of people struggling in flip-flops... Save your feet and take a sturdy pair
Kantrida Beach

My advice is to explore the nearby promenade in the evening around 7 PM. The sunset view is stunning, and it's a great way to wind down after a day at the beach.

I recommend wearing water shoes! The pebbly beach can be a bit tough on the feet, and my friend ended up with sore soles after our visit. Avoid that mistake!
