El Nicho
Bring some local currency for snacks and tips as card payments might not work everywhere. I paid too much for a water because I used USD.

Don't skip exploring the smaller trails off the beaten path. That’s where I found some hidden gems and fewer tourists. Totally worth it!
Beach Varadero

I suggest coming around sunrise at 6 AM for breathtaking views. The sunrise is stunning and way quieter, giving you the beach all to yourself before the heat hits.

I recommend checking out Playa Varadero on a weekday if you can. It gets super crowded on weekends, and you’ll enjoy the clear waters and soft sand without the crowds.
Ambrosio Cave
Largo del Sur

I recommend checking the weather before you go. It can change fast, and some days are just perfect for relaxing on the sand. I got caught in a rain shower, and it wasn't fun.
Cave Saturn
Indian Cave
Salto de Caburni
Alexander Humboldt National Park

I think it's worth investing in a local guide for at least half a day... They know the best spots and can help you avoid getting lost, which saved me a lot of time during my visit!

I recommend packing some snacks and plenty of water. There aren't many options for food inside the park and trust me you'll want to refuel after all the hiking.
Hosone Park

I recommend going early, like around 8 AM, to enjoy the park before it gets crowded. I went later and missed the peaceful morning vibes, plus it’s cooler for a stroll.
