Royal Palace Amalienborg

Make sure to time your visit around the changing of the guard at noon! It's a lovely spectacle and totally free to watch. Just find a good spot early to avoid a crowd.
I found the audio guide super helpful, but be careful of the price. Look out for package deals that might save you money if you plan to visit other sites too.

Try to go on a weekday if you can. I went on a Saturday and it felt super busy. The crowds can take away from the whole experience, so weekdays are way better.

I suggest bringing a picnic to enjoy in one of the nearby parks. There are beautiful spots where you can relax and take in the view without spending a fortune on food inside.
Town Hall Square
Christiansborg
New Royal Square

Take a walk around the square at around 6 PM when the lights come on. The atmosphere is magical, and you'll avoid the larger day-time crowds.

Check out the little hidden cafes nearby for a cheap coffee and pastry. I stumbled upon one just around the corner and it totally made my morning!

I suggest bringing a good camera, the architectural details are stunning! I got some great shots that I still look back on fondly
My advice is to wear comfy shoes because you'll end up walking a lot more than you think. The square connects to so many interesting spots!
Oresund Bridge
Church of the Savior
Frederick's Church

I think the best time to visit is around 9 AM. It's way less crowded, and you can take some great photos of the church before the tourist rush hits.

I suggest bringing a small snack and some water. There’s not much around, and after walking around, it’s handy to have something to munch on.

You might want to explore the surrounding area too. The neighborhood has some lovely cafes and shops, so you can spend a nice afternoon there after the visit

Skip the gift shop if you're on a budget. It’s a bit pricey for the usual souvenirs. You'll find cooler stuff in the local markets nearby.
Roskilde Cathedral
New Harbor

My advice is to stroll the area during sunset. The vibrant colors reflecting on the water make it a picture-perfect moment! Plus, it’s less crowded compared to peak evenings.

If you're looking for a quick snack, swing by one of the food stalls instead of a full sit-down meal. I found a great hot dog cart that was delicious and easy on the wallet!
Church of Our Lady

I suggest you bring a small donation if you can. They appreciate it and it really helps with maintaining the stunning architecture. Plus it's like you're a part of keeping the history alive.
