Royal Palace Amalienborg

Make sure to time your visit around the changing of the guard at noon! It's a lovely spectacle and totally free to watch. Just find a good spot early to avoid a crowd.
I found the audio guide super helpful, but be careful of the price. Look out for package deals that might save you money if you plan to visit other sites too.

Try to go on a weekday if you can. I went on a Saturday and it felt super busy. The crowds can take away from the whole experience, so weekdays are way better.

I suggest bringing a picnic to enjoy in one of the nearby parks. There are beautiful spots where you can relax and take in the view without spending a fortune on food inside.
Old town

Check out the café for lunch, it’s a bit cozy and not overly pricy. I found a nice sandwich that filled me up without breaking the bank.
The Little Mermaid Statue
My advice is to take the shortcut through the park by the water instead of following the main road. It’s a lovely stroll and you'll stumble upon some cool street art!

i suggest visiting the little mermaid statue early in the morning, around 8 am. you'll beat the crowds and get some awesome photos without anyone photobombing you!

I think it's a nice idea to combine your visit with a boat tour around the harbor. You’ll get a different view of the statue and see other cool sights along the way.
Town Hall Square
Louisiana

I suggest visiting the art exhibits last. They’re a bit more interactive and I found myself lingering longer there when I didn’t feel rushed after the main displays.

Definitely take your time in the garden first thing in the morning around 9 AM. It’s quieter then, and the flowers are just stunning. Perfect for some peaceful photos!

Make sure to grab a coffee at the café—it's not overpriced, and the pastries are super tasty! I regretted not trying something there earlier.
Christiansborg
Glyptotek Nu Carlsberg

I suggest visiting on a Tuesday if you can since it's free entry! I wish I knew that before I paid. Who doesn’t love free art?

Definitely get the guided audio tour; it adds so much context to the art without feeling overwhelming. I think it really brought the pieces to life for me!
Aros
New Carlsberg Glyptotek

Check out the rooftop garden if the weather's nice; it's a peaceful spot to relax and take in some views of the city. I almost missed it!

Don't skip the café inside! It has a lovely atmosphere and decent prices, perfect for a break after exploring!
Frederiksborg

My advice is to grab a lunch at the café near the castle. They have some tasty pastries and good coffee at decent prices, which helped me recharge for more exploring.

Make sure to wear comfy shoes. I thought I'd be fine in my sandals, but the cobblestones and endless walking made me regret that later. A good pair of sneakers would have saved my feet.

I think a visit to the bookstore inside is a must! They have some adorable souvenirs you won't find anywhere else, plus books that you can’t get too many places.

If you're into photography, don't rush your visit! I took my time wandering through the gardens, and I found some unique spots for pictures that few others seemed to notice.
