My advice is to try the local drinks—they're refreshing and much cheaper than the international brands. You can get a great taste of Dominican flavors without breaking the bank!
Be prepared for a lively atmosphere, especially on weekends. If you're looking for a quieter vibe, consider visiting on a weekday. It was much more laid-back when I went on a Tuesday.
Onno's Bavaro
I suggest bringing some cash for tips – the staff are super friendly and deserve it, plus it makes service even better.
Take advantage of happy hour from 3 PM to 5 PM for cocktails, it's a steal! You'll definitely save some cash for your next round.
If you can, grab a cabana early, like around 10 AM. It gets packed, and having a comfy spot makes a huge difference to your day.
Soles Beach Club
Check out the happy hour specials — they really do save you a bit on drinks. I tried their signature cocktails, and they were awesome and affordable during happy hour!
I suggest arriving around 10 AM. You get the best spots on the beach, plus it’s less crowded, and you can grab some breakfast before kicking off your day.
Huracan Beach Club

Helios Beach Club
I think you should bring some cash for tips and small purchases. Although they accept cards, having cash on hand made things much easier for me
Zoho Beach Club
My advice is to check the menu ahead of time and come ready to try their signature cocktails. They’re a bit pricey, but totally worth it for the flavor and vibe
