I think taking the Ruka Express chairlift early around 9 AM is the best way to avoid long lines. Trust me it makes a massive difference in your skiing experience.
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks while hitting the slopes. The on-site restaurants can be pricey and it’s nice to take a break with your own stuff.

If you're into snowboarding, make sure to check out the Ruka Park. I found it super fun, but try to go in the morning before it gets crowded!

Pack some snacks and drinks for the slopes. The cafes are a bit pricey, and having your own stuff makes breaks easier and more relaxing.
Hiihtokeskus Iso-Syote Oy

My advice is to rent your gear ahead of time. Renting there can be a bit pricey and the lines can get long, especially on weekends. I had to wait ages!

I suggest checking out the season pass deals if you're planning to stay for a few days. It could save you some serious cash on lift tickets. I wish I had looked into that before!

My experience was so much better when I hit the slopes after 3 PM. The crowds thinned out and the snow was so much nicer!

I think the sauna at the resort is a must after a long day on the slopes. It's the perfect way to unwind, so I won't skip it next time!
Pyha Ski Resort

I think taking the time to explore the less crowded slopes can be a game-changer. I skipped the main runs and found some awesome spots with fresh powder.

If you're planning to rent gear, do it the day before to save time in the morning rush. I did this, and it really made my day smoother!
Messila

i think grabbing lunch at the cafeteria is a good idea, but avoid the busiest hours (12-1 pm) to skip the long lines. there’s surprisingly tasty food, and you can refuel quickly for more runs!
