Culture Places Map
Culture in Finland:
Suomenlinna
Market Square
Senate Square
Helsinki Cathedral
Santa Claus Village
Bring your own snacks if you have dietary restrictions. The food options are limited and can be pricey. I ended up spending a lot on just a quick bite!
Explore the free activities like walking through the village and taking photos with the statues. I thought I had to pay for everything, but wandering around was a highlight.
If you're planning to buy souvenirs, check online stores for special offers. I found the same items cheaper online after my trip. I wish I’d looked before shopping!
Temppeliaukio Church
Bring a smartphone or camera with good low-light capability. The lighting inside can be beautiful, but tricky, and you don't want to miss capturing those moments!
Make sure to take some time to just sit and listen to the acoustics inside. I was blown away by how good the sound quality was during a little organ concert they had.
Athenaeum
Monument to Sibelius
Assumption Cathedral
Museum of Contemporary Art "Kiasma"
I suggest getting there right when they open at 10 AM to avoid crowds and really soak up the art in a quieter setting. It made a huge difference for me!
