I suggest checking the weather before you go. It started raining when I visited, and I wish I had brought my raincoat instead of just a hoodie!
If you're into photography, try to catch the sunset around 8 PM. The lighting is just stunning for those perfect shots. I didn't know, and missed out on some great pics!
I recommend renting a canoe or kayak if you get the chance! Paddling on the lake was the highlight of my trip. Just remember to book it in advance to save time!
My advice is to visit on a weekday if you can. The trails were way less crowded than on weekends, and I really enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Check out the local events calendar before you go. I stumbled upon a free outdoor concert that made my trip even more special.

I think you should grab a picnic from a local store and chill on the grass by the water. The views are awesome and it's way more relaxing than a crowded café. Just be prepared for seagulls to steal your snacks!
