Cassis Calanques Plongee

Check the weather conditions before heading out. I thought it would be fine, but the waves were choppy, and we missed some great dives on that day

I really enjoyed the guided dives, but I think it’s worth asking about the group's experience level before starting. It can make a big difference in your overall experience.
La Grande Plage

If you're planning to hit the surf, I recommend grabbing your board and hitting the waves around 9 AM. The early morning sessions are less crowded and the waves are usually better, trust me!

If it's your first time swimming here, I recommend sticking to the designated swim areas. The currents can be strong, and I saw a few people struggle a bit when they ventured too far out. Stay safe!

Don't miss the Sunset! I think around 7 PM is the perfect time to grab a drink from one of the beach bars and soak in the beautiful view. It's an insta-worthy moment for sure!

Make sure you bring your own snacks or a picnic. The beachside cafes can be a bit pricey, and I ended up spending way more than I planned just on lunch!
Marina Pointe du Bout

Don’t forget your sunscreen, even if it’s cloudy! I thought I'd be fine but ended up with a bad burn after a day exploring. Protect that skin!

If you want to avoid crowds, I suggest you visit early in the morning, around 8 am. You’ll have the marina more or less to yourself and it’s super peaceful!

I think you should rent a small boat for an hour or two instead of a full day. It’s much cheaper and the experience is still amazing!

I recommend checking out the local bakery nearby for some delicious fresh pastries; way better than the overpriced cafe snacks! Plus, it only costs a fraction of the price.
Centre De Plongée Euro Plongee

If you’re planning to do multiple dives, look for package deals! They can save you a good amount of money compared to single dives, trust me, I learned the hard way.

Make sure to book your dives online ahead of time, especially during peak season. I thought I could just walk in, but I ended up waiting a while to get a spot.

I suggest trying to bring your own gear if you can. The rental prices are a bit high, and the quality isn’t always top-notch. I wish I had known that before!

Don’t skip the pre-dive briefings; they’re super helpful. I missed some important tips the first time, which made my second dive way smoother. Plus, the instructors really know their stuff!
Port de Marseille

Avoid souvenir shops on the main promenade; they're priced way too high... I got some lovely, unique pieces from a little artisan shop a few blocks away that were way more affordable!

I found it helpful to use the local public transport. The metro and trams are easy to navigate, and you’ll save money instead of taking taxis everywhere. Just grab a day pass.

If you want to enjoy a nice seafood meal, head to one of the restaurants tucked away in the side streets. I didn’t realize they were less touristy and way cheaper than those on the port itself!

Don’t forget to bring your camera! The sunsets over the marina are breathtaking. I think the best spot is right by the fort at the end of the port. Just chill there with a drink and enjoy!
Archipel Agde Centre Aquatique & Spa
Beach Cote des Basques

Don’t forget sunscreen! The sun can be pretty intense, even on cloudy days. I ended up with a pretty bad burn because I thought I was cool without it

Get there around 8 AM if you can. The beach is way less crowded and you can snag a good spot. Plus, the sunrise views are amazing. I wish I had gotten up earlier myself.

If you're into surfing, take a lesson at one of the local surf schools. They’re super friendly and it’s a great way to meet people. I made a lot of friends this way!

Grab a baguette and some cheese from a local shop for a picnic on the sand. It’s way cheaper than the beachside cafes and twice as satisfying. I didn’t do this and regretted it!
Cote Plongee

Definitely book your dive in advance, especially during peak season. I signed up last minute and had to wait longer than expected for a spot.

Bring your own snacks and drinks! The dive center's cafe can be pricey, and you'll need energy for all that diving.

Check the weather a day before your dive. I had to reschedule because of rough seas so staying updated really helps.

If you can, try to dive with a buddy who has some experience. It made my dives way more enjoyable and safer!
Grand'Riviere
The local seafood is to die for, but I wouldn’t go to the first restaurant you see. Walk a bit further down the marina where the locals eat; it's way cheaper and even tastier!

My advice is to bring a camera. The sunsets at Grand'Riviere are breathtaking, and those pictures will be something you'll cherish forever. Just be ready to capture it all.

I'd recommend checking out the local markets if you're there on a Saturday morning. The fresh produce and local crafts are unbeatable! You might even find some unique souvenirs to take home.

I suggest wandering off the beaten path a bit to discover some hidden gems. There are small beaches and coves that aren't in the guidebooks but are totally stunning and much quieter.
Miramar Beach

If you want to rent a surfboard, do it at one of the smaller local shops instead of the big names. They’re usually friendlier and offer better deals. I saved a good amount that way!

Pack your sunscreen and a beach umbrella; the sun can get intense! I didn’t realize how hot it could be, and I ended up with a nasty sunburn, which definitely put a damper on my trip!
