Yachting in France:
Marina Pointe du Bout
Port de Marseille
If you want to enjoy a nice seafood meal, head to one of the restaurants tucked away in the side streets. I didn’t realize they were less touristy and way cheaper than those on the port itself!
Don’t forget to bring your camera! The sunsets over the marina are breathtaking. I think the best spot is right by the fort at the end of the port. Just chill there with a drink and enjoy!
Grand'Riviere
I'd recommend checking out the local markets if you're there on a Saturday morning. The fresh produce and local crafts are unbeatable! You might even find some unique souvenirs to take home.
I suggest wandering off the beaten path a bit to discover some hidden gems. There are small beaches and coves that aren't in the guidebooks but are totally stunning and much quieter.
Plan your boating trips around the tide schedules. I once got stuck waiting for hours because I didn't pay attention! It can really eat into your day if you're not careful.
Bloody Mary's
I recommend checking the local weather before your visit; we got caught in the rain unexpectedly and it really put a damper on our plans. Bring a light jacket just in case!
Marina Marin
I think you should definitely check out the sunset from the marina boardwalk. It's stunning, but I suggest arriving by 6:30 PM to grab a good spot.
If you're planning on renting a boat, I suggest booking ahead online. I paid a lot more by waiting until I got there!
My advice is to invest in some sunscreen, even if the weather is cloudy. I got burned unexpectedly, and it was no fun!
