Arenes de Nimes

Think about buying your tickets online in advance. I waited in a long line at the counter, but I saw some people zoom right in with their printouts!

I found the audio guides really helpful. They give you a lot of cool info that you wouldn't get just walking around. Honestly, they made the experience way better!

If you love good food, check out the nearby cafés after the tour. I had a delightful lunch that wasn't pricey at all, and the local atmosphere is perfect!

My advice is to wear comfy shoes. The arena’s steps can get steep, and you might end up climbing a lot. I was not prepared and my feet were killing me!
Arena of Bayonne

I think it’s best to visit on a Wednesday or Thursday - less crowds, more chill vibes. I went on a weekend, and it was packed, which made it a bit overwhelming.

I suggest checking their event schedule online before you go. I missed an awesome bullfighting event last time because I didn't know they had shows. Totally worth planning around if you can!

My advice is to grab a snack from the nearby market before entering. The food inside is pricey, and the local cheese and bread is way better anyway!
