Vincennes Nature Reserve

Wear comfortable shoes because you’ll want to explore all the trails... I made the mistake of wearing trendy sneakers and regretted it halfway through

Take some time to visit the Château de Vincennes nearby. It’s worth the quick detour and gives you a bit of history along with the nature.

I recommend downloading a map of the reserve beforehand. There are some awesome hidden trails that aren’t well marked – it made my visit much more enjoyable to have a little guide.
Falaise d'Aval

Take your time exploring the area. The cliffs are stunning from different angles. I almost missed the views from the western side—totally worth the extra short walk!

Arriving around 8 AM is perfect to avoid crowds and get that Instagram-worthy sunrise shot! Trust me, the views are magical without the throngs of tourists.
Calanque d'En-Vau

If you're keen on quiet time, arrive at around 9 am. Early birds can enjoy the scenery without fighting for space with other tourists.

I think visiting mid-week is way better than weekends. We had the place almost to ourselves, but on Saturday there were so many people!

Don't forget your swim gear! The water is stunning, and you'll want to take a dip after that hike. Just be careful; it can get slippery on the rocks!

If you're hiking in, be prepared for some steep trails. I didn't think it would be that tough! A good pair of hiking shoes makes a big difference
Loterie Farm

My advice is to look out for the happy hour or any specials at the restaurant. I saved a bunch by grabbing dinner during the discount times, plus the food was delicious!

I think you should definitely arrive by 10 am to beat the heat and the crowds. The place gets super busy after that, and you want to enjoy the trails without rushing.
I recommend bringing sturdy shoes because some trails can get a bit slippery. I had a close call on a muddy path and ended up with dirty socks!
The Apremont Gorges

When you arrive, check out the map at the entrance. I lost a bit of time wandering around since I didn't plan my route ahead. Knowing where to go can save you tons of time!

Bring some snacks and water. I thought I could buy something on-site, but the options were pretty limited. A little picnic while taking in the beautiful views is the perfect break!

Definitely wear good hiking shoes! The trails can be rocky and slippery, and I slipped a couple of times. Trust me, it makes your experience a lot more enjoyable if you're not worrying about your footing
Les Demoiselles Coiffees

I suggest you pack a picnic! There are some great spots to chill and enjoy the view without spending a ton at local cafes. Plus it's nice to sit surrounded by nature
Balata Garden

My advice is to bring some snacks and water. The café there can get pricey and it's nice to relax with a picnic among the beautiful flowers!

I think starting your visit around 10 AM is best. You beat the big crowds and can enjoy the peacefulness before the heat sets in.

I suggest checking the weather before you go. I went on a cloudy day and missed some great sunshine for photos! It really can make a big difference.
David's Hole

I recommend packing a picnic! The scenery at David's Hole is stunning, and enjoying lunch surrounded by nature was definitely a highlight for me. Plus, it saves money instead of eating at nearby cafes.
Orient Bay

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The beach bars are fun but can be pricey. I wish I had packed a cooler with some sandwiches – it would've saved a lot of money and given me more time to relax!
Sentier Botanique

I recommend getting there early, around 9 AM, to enjoy the tranquility before the crowds show up. The morning light on the scenery is just magical and makes for some stunning photos!

Be sure to wear good walking shoes. Some paths can be a bit uneven. I wore sneakers and regretted it; hiking boots would have made my experience much better.
