Tuileries Garden

Take your time near the fountains—grab a chair and just relax for a bit. I found it was the best way to soak in the vibe of Paris.

Don’t miss the west end of the garden; it's quieter and has an amazing view of the Louvre. Perfect for photos without the crowd!

Be mindful of the weather! Bring a light jacket or umbrella, especially in spring or fall. I got caught in the rain, and it wasn't fun!

Grab a coffee or snack at one of the small kiosks instead of a sit-down cafe. It saves money and lets you enjoy the park while you snack!
Luxembourg Garden

If you're looking to save some cash, bring your own snacks and enjoy a picnic under the trees. There are lovely spots that feel just right for chilling

I recommend visiting in late spring or early fall when the blooms are fresh or the colors are vibrant. You'll avoid the summer tourists too!

I suggest hitting the garden around 9 AM to beat the crowds and enjoy the serene atmosphere. It's a perfect time for those Instagram shots before everyone else shows up.
Trocadero Gardens

On sunny days, bring some sunscreen. I forgot mine, and I ended up looking like a lobster after just a couple of hours. The sun hits differently when you’re spending time outside!

Take advantage of the benches around the gardens. I did and it was a perfect spot for people watching plus it gives your feet a break. It’s a good way to soak in the atmosphere!

My advice is to wear comfy shoes. You’ll end up walking more than you think, especially if you want to explore the surrounding areas too. Those cobblestones are brutal!

I think you should check out the fountains in the gardens! They have a show at certain times, and it’s free entertainment. Be sure to ask around, sometimes they don’t run every day though.
Lake Annecy

For the best view photos head to the viewpoint just above the city center at sunset. The colors reflecting off the lake are stunning and way less crowded around 7 PM!

If you can, try biking around the lake instead of driving. The views are awesome and parking can be a hassle. I spent too much time looking for a spot!

Don't miss the cheese and charcuterie shops in the old town. I found some great local specialties that weren't too pricey! It'll make your picnic spot even better!

I suggest grabbing lunch at one of the local bakeries instead of the sit-down restaurants. They have tasty baguettes and pastries that are way cheaper and perfect for a picnic by the lake!
Field of Mars

Wear comfortable shoes! The park is large and you’ll want to stroll around. I regretted wearing fancy sandals and ended up with sore feet after just a couple of hours.

If you're into art, make sure to take a quick walk towards the nearby Palais de Chaillot. The architecture and the view from there are breathtaking and it's usually less crowded than the park!

During peak tourist season, check the weather before you go. I went on a cloudy day and missed out on great views; clear days are definitely better for your photos and experience.

Grab some takeaway food from a nearby café and have a picnic on the grass. It’s a great way to relax and soak in the view – much cheaper than dining at nearby restaurants.
Deauville Beach

My advice is to check the tide schedule before you go. I ended up at the beach only to find it was a bit too rocky at my time of visit. Just plan ahead a little!

If you’re into beach sports, bring your own gear! Renting stuff like paddleboards on the beach can be pricey. I brought my own and saved a ton. Just make sure to pack light!

Try to wander a few streets back from the beach for lunch. I discovered this hole-in-the-wall restaurant with great seafood that was way more budget-friendly than the beach-front places.
Vincennes Nature Reserve

Take some time to visit the Château de Vincennes nearby. It’s worth the quick detour and gives you a bit of history along with the nature.

I recommend downloading a map of the reserve beforehand. There are some awesome hidden trails that aren’t well marked – it made my visit much more enjoyable to have a little guide.
Le Village Naturiste

Make use of the bike rentals; it’s a fun way to explore the area, and it’ll save you a lot of time instead of walking everywhere.

I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks to save some cash. The on-site stores can be pricey, and you’ll want to have something handy for those beach lounging sessions.
La Grande Plage

If you're planning to hit the surf, I recommend grabbing your board and hitting the waves around 9 AM. The early morning sessions are less crowded and the waves are usually better, trust me!

If it's your first time swimming here, I recommend sticking to the designated swim areas. The currents can be strong, and I saw a few people struggle a bit when they ventured too far out. Stay safe!

Don't miss the Sunset! I think around 7 PM is the perfect time to grab a drink from one of the beach bars and soak in the beautiful view. It's an insta-worthy moment for sure!

Make sure you bring your own snacks or a picnic. The beachside cafes can be a bit pricey, and I ended up spending way more than I planned just on lunch!
Padirac Cave

Bring a light jacket! The cave can get pretty chilly even in summer, and you might regret not having an extra layer while you're exploring.
If you plan on taking photos, keep in mind the lighting can be tricky. Bring a camera with good low-light capabilities or just your phone—just be mindful of the flash rules!

Don’t rush through. Take your time to soak in the beauty of the formations. Some areas are just breathtaking and deserve a moment’s pause.
Consider booking your tickets online in advance. It saved me a lot of time since I didn't have to wait around in the ticket queue
