I think you should visit in the morning around 9 am when it opens... It's way less crowded and you can enjoy the stalactites without rushing
Devil's Cave

I suggest checking the weather ahead of time. If it’s been raining, the cave can get a bit flooded. We visited after rain and some sections were closed, which was a bummer.

Definitely wear sturdy shoes! The path can get slippery and uneven close to the caverns. I slipped a bit, and it was no fun. A good grip on your shoes will make exploring so much easier.
Saalfelder Feengrotten

Plan to explore the surrounding area too! There are some lovely hiking trails and a park nearby that make for a perfect day out after the caves.

I recommend buying your tickets online beforehand. It saved me a good chunk of time, and I skipped the long queue.

The caves can get chilly, so I suggest bringing a light jacket even if it's warm outside. I thought I'd be fine, but I was shivering inside!

Buy your tickets online to save some euros. I got stuck in line when I went, and online prices were lower than at the entrance.

Plan your visit around lunch. The small café nearby serves a lot of regional snacks, and it's perfect for a quick bite before or after exploring.

Wear good walking shoes! I was in flip-flops and regretted it halfway through the cave. Trust me, those rocks aren't forgiving.
Marienglashoehle Friedrichroda

I suggest wearing comfortable shoes. The paths can be a bit uneven, and you don't want your feet to ruin the experience.
