Olympic Park

If you're a photog, the best light for pictures is either early morning or late afternoon – golden hour vibes! I forgot that and missed some epic shots.

Don't miss the BMW Museum nearby. It’s a bit of a walk, but totally worth it. I recommend doing that first before hitting the park, so you have energy to explore.

Take a leisurely stroll around the lake. It's so peaceful, and I found it was the calmest spot in the whole park. You won't regret taking a moment to just breathe it all in.
Schlosspark Nymphenburg

I suggest you bring a picnic! There are plenty of lovely spots to sit and eat. Plus, the park food options are a bit pricey for what you get.

If you're into museums, don’t forget to check out the Marstallmuseum. It's included with your entrance ticket and showcases some cool royal carriages that you won't want to miss.

If you can, try visiting early in the morning around 8 AM. The park is so peaceful then, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery without the crowds. Bring your camera, you'll want to snap some pics!
Grosser Garten

My advice is to check out the Dresden Zwinger Palace nearby after your park visit. It’s pretty close, and if you book online, you can save on entrance fees! I didn’t do that and ended up waiting in line. Total bummer!

If you're into biking, I suggest renting a bike for the day. It’s an awesome way to explore the park, and there's so much to see. Just watch out for the occasional jogger though; they can sneak up on you!
Wildpark Black Mountains

I think it's best to plan your visit on a weekday if you can. The weekends get packed, and you'll spend more time dodging crowds than enjoying the animals!

I suggest checking the weather ahead of time. If rain's in the forecast, don't let that deter you but make sure to bring a good raincoat—some parts can get muddy and slippery.

I think it’s worth spending some extra time at the petting zoo area. It’s usually less crowded in the early afternoon, and the animals are super friendly—definitely a highlight for kids!
Rheinaue Park

I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks. There are some pricey cafes around, so packing a little picnic saves you money and gives you more time to chill and enjoy the views.

Don’t forget your camera! The flower displays are absolutely stunning, and you might want to spend some time capturing those blossoms in full bloom. Trust me, you'll wanna remember this place

When you arrive, head straight to the main pond area. It’s a great spot for photos and not too far from the paths leading to other attractions. That’s where I first felt the magic of the park!

If you’re looking to save some time download a park map before you go. I got a bit lost wandering around at first and the layout can be confusing if it’s your first time.
Bruhl's Terrace

Bring a reusable water bottle! There are fountains where you can refill, and it saves you a few bucks instead of buying drinks.

Check out the local food vendors nearby for tasty snacks. I found a great pretzel stand that was way cheaper than sit-down restaurants and so good!

If you're into photography, try to visit during golden hour (around 7 PM in summer) for some stunning pictures of the Elbe River and the skyline. Trust me, the light is magical!
If you want to escape the crowds, visit on a weekday. I went on a Saturday and it was packed, but when I returned on a Tuesday, I had the place almost to myself!
West Park

My advice is to bring your own snacks if you're on a budget. The kiosks can get a bit pricey, and there are plenty of great spots to picnic.

If you're into photography, I definately recommend visiting in the golden hour, just before sunset. The light is just stunning and you won't regret it.

I found the best time to visit West Park is around 9 AM when it's quieter and perfect for a nice walk. Grab a coffee from a nearby café before you head in!
Hofgarten

Check out the itty-bitty cute cafe inside the Hofgarten. I think it's slightly pricier than outside, but the ambience is worth it for a little treat after your stroll.

I recommend bringing a good camera or your phone fully charged! The gardens are incredibly photogenic, especially during the golden hour before sunset.

If you're on a budget, pack a light picnic! There are plenty of lovely spots to sit and enjoy your snacks without spending a dime on overpriced cafe food.

Arrive early, like around 8 am, to enjoy the peace and quiet before the crowds show up. I did this and it was so nice walking around without bumping into too many people.
Flaucher

If you're into cycling, rent a bike! I saw so many people biking along the river, and it saved us tons of time exploring the whole area. Plus, it's super fun!

I suggest bringing a blanket and some snacks for a nice picnic by the water. It’s such a chill vibe and way cheaper than eating out! We enjoyed it so much more than we thought we would.

I recommend getting there around 4 PM. The park really comes alive then, plus it’s less crowded, so you can snag a good spot to relax.

Make sure to check out the little beach areas. I didn't think they’d be as nice, but they were perfect for a quick dip during a hot day. Just remember your towel!
Siebengebirge Nature Park

Keep an eye out for the hidden lookout points! I missed a couple because I was focused on the main trails. Next time, I’ll use a map to explore more.

I suggest tackling Rheinsteig trail early in the morning, around 8 AM, for stunning views and fewer people. it gets packed later and you'd want to enjoy the peace.

I totally recommend visiting in the spring or early fall when the weather’s mild. Summer can be a bit too hot for long hikes, and the park gets crowded

bring some snacks and water - trust me, there aren’t many shops inside the park. i had to hike back to get food because i didn’t plan ahead.
