Elafonissi Beach

If you're planning to grab some food, the beach bar gets packed. My advice is to pack a picnic – it’ll save you time and money!

I recommend visiting during the off-season, like late September. The weather is still warm, but way less crowded, making it way more relaxing.

Lastly, I learned the hard way to bring cash. Not all places accept cards, and you don’t want to be stranded without a way to buy snacks.

I'd suggest arriving around 8 am to snag a good spot on the beach before the crowds roll in. Trust me, it fills up fast!
Anthony Quinn Bay

Take a short hike up to the viewpoint on the cliffs. The view of the bay from up there is stunning and totally worth the little trek!

I suggest checking the local ferries for nearby spots. It’s a fun way to skip traffic and see more of the coast. Just plan ahead a bit!
Navagio Beach

I think the boat tours are the best way to see Navagio Beach, but I recommend booking in advance to avoid long lines. We saw people waiting for hours!

I recommend wearing sturdy sandals if you're exploring the cliffs. I slipped in my flip-flops and it wasn’t fun. A little extra grip goes a long way!

I suggest visiting around 3 PM. The sun starts to set and the lighting is just perfect for photos! Plus it’s less crowded than earlier in the day.
Elli Beach

If you're looking for a sunbed, I suggest heading out by 10 AM. By noon, it was super crowded and I regretted not getting there earlier.

I recommend checking out the little gelato shop nearby. Trust me, it’s worth every penny, especially on a hot day, but be prepared for the size of the lines!

If you want to avoid massive crowds try visiting during mid-week. I went on a Saturday and it was just way too busy to relax!
Vai Beach
My advice is to wear water shoes! The pebbles in some areas can be rough on your feet and trust me, you don’t want to deal with that.

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks. The beachside cafes can be a bit pricey, and you'll save a bundle if you pack your own stuff.

I think there's not much shade, so get there around 9 AM or after 5 PM if you want to avoid the hot sun while still enjoying the beach.
Prasonisi Beach

The winds can get pretty intense, so if you're into windsurfing, come between May and September for the best conditions.

The sunset views are stunning, so I recommend sticking around after hours... Just be careful, as it can get dark quite quickly!

Bring your own beach umbrella if you want some shade! The sun can be brutal, and renting one at the beach can be pricey.

If you're planning to stay all day pack snacks and lunch. The nearest shops are a bit of a trek and the beach food can add up quickly.
Tsampika Beach

Try to rent an umbrella early on. We thought we could wait, but by 10:30, they were all gone and the sun can be pretty brutal. It’s a must if you want to enjoy the beach without frying

I think you've gotta check the weather before heading out. We went on a slightly cloudy day, which was a bummer because we couldn't enjoy the sun as much. It turned sunny later, but we missed out on some prime beach time!

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The beach bars are pricey, and the last thing you want is to be thirsty and broke while soaking up the sun!

I recommend getting to Tsampika Beach by 9 am to snag a good spot. It gets super crowded by noon and you won't want to be stuck searching for a place to lay your towel!
Kavourotripes Beach

Check the weather and avoid windy days. The waves can get pretty wild, making it tricky to swim and chill out like you’d want.

I suggest arriving around 9 AM to snag a good spot and enjoy the peaceful morning vibe. By noon, it gets packed and a bit crazy!

You should consider bringing your own snacks and drinks. The beach cafes are kinda pricey and their service can be slow. I saved a ton of € by packing my own picnic.

Don’t forget to wear water shoes! Some areas can be rocky, and trust me, it’ll save your feet from unnecessary pain
National Garden
Stefanos Beach

My advice is to bring your own beach gear like towels and umbrellas. Rent fees can add up fast at the beach, and honestly it’s nice to have your own stuff!

If you're looking to avoid the crowds, I suggest hitting the beach around 8 AM. It’s super peaceful and you can snag a good spot easily. Just don’t forget your sunscreen!

Check out nearby shops before you buy water or snacks; I found that prices closer to the main beach area were way higher than just a few blocks away. I saved a few euros doing this!
