Szimpla Kert
My advice is to snag some cash before heading in. Some vendors might not take cards, and you don’t wanna miss out on that yummy street food!

Check out the farmers' market on Sundays if you can! The local eats and fresh vibes really add something special to your visit.

I highly recommend going on a weeknight, like Tuesday or Wednesday, to avoid the massive weekend crowds. It's way more chill and you get better service, trust me!

i think you should try to catch a live show while you're there. the atmosphere is electrifying and totally worth the experience!
Menza Restaurant

Check out the daily specials! I tried one and it was amazing and cheaper than the regular menu items.
Central Market

Don't forget to sample the local street food! I highly recommend the lángos (fried dough) topped with sour cream and cheese. It’s cheap filling and delicious a perfect snack while you explore!

Look for the little souvenir shops on the second floor. I found some lovely handmade crafts that were way more unique and affordable than the mainstream tourist shops. Great mementos without breaking the bank!

Bring a reusable bag for your purchases. It's handy for grabbing fresh fruits, vegetables, or those tasty pastries, and it's better for the environment. I forgot mine and had to juggle my goodies!

I recommend keeping a lookout for seasonal products. I missed out on some amazing berries and pastries that were only available during my visit in June.
Mazel Tov
I recommend visiting around 6 PM. It was quieter, so we could enjoy our meal without too much noise. The atmosphere is fantastic when it's not overly crowded!

Try their house-made lemonade, it's super refreshing! I think it pairs perfectly with their dishes. Don't skip on trying the salads either, they're fresh and tasty.

I suggest making a reservation, especially during weekends; it gets really packed and you might end up waiting a long time otherwise
Hungarikum Bistro
Why Not

Seating can fill up fast, especially on weekends. I suggest getting there by 8 PM if you want a decent spot for the shows without standing.

Look for happy hour specials! I stumbled on a deal from 6 PM to 8 PM that really helped save some cash on drinks.

If you're planning to drink, grab a cocktail – they're pretty reasonably priced compared to many bars in both Budapest and elsewhere in Europe. My advice is to try something local!

The vibe is really chill, but if you get overwhelmed by crowds, I recommend checking out the upstairs area for a quieter space to chat and relax.
High Note Skybar

I think it's worth reserving a table in advance, especially if you want a prime spot by the edge. It gets packed, and you don't want to miss out on those killer views.

Make sure to check out the happy hour specials if you can! I saved quite a bit on drinks, plus the selection was great.

If you're planning to eat, I suggest sharing a few small plates instead of getting a full meal. The portions are a decent size, so you can try more dishes without breaking the bank.

I recommend arriving around 5 PM to catch the sunset. The views are absolutely stunning, and you can enjoy both the day and night sky in one visit.
Meatology Budapest

If you’re a meat lover like me, definitely get the meat-sharing platter. It’s a fantastic way to sample a bunch of different dishes without breaking the bank!

I recommend checking out their drink menu too. They’ve got some local wines that pair perfectly with the meat dishes, and that would save you from getting something that doesn’t go well.

My advice is to make a reservation, especially on weekends. Otherwise, you might end up waiting for a long time, and trust me, you don’t want to miss out!

I suggest you go for the daily specials. They're not only cheaper but also a great way to try something unique that you might not find on the regular menu.
