I think you should wear good hiking shoes, but also don’t forget an extra pair of socks. My socks got soaked, and it made the hike a lot less fun!

I suggest downloading a map on your phone before you go. Service can get spotty up there, and you don’t want to get lost wandering around!

Bring snacks and enough water from Joshimath. I ran out halfway through, and trust me, the local shops are sparse and pricey.

I suggest hiring a local guide; it’ll enrich your experience with stories about the area... I went solo, and while I managed, I missed out on some awesome insights

For the best views, tackle the trek in March or April when the flowers bloom and the weather is just perfect. I went in May and it was a bit too warm for my liking.

My advice is to pack extra snacks. There were days when I was super hungry between meals, and a granola bar or nuts can really help keep your energy up on those long stretches.

I suggest taking cash with you, especially if you're planning to buy any supplies or snacks along the way. Some places don't accept cards, and you don't want to miss out on a cold drink after a tough hike.

I recommend starting your trek early, around 6 AM, to avoid the heat and crowd. Trust me, the sunrise views are stunning! Plus, you get a head start on your hike before it gets too hot.

Bring some cash, especially for local eateries. Some places don’t accept cards, which caught me off guard. You don’t wanna miss out on yummy local snacks!

Pack your own water and snacks. Trust me buying things on the way is way pricier than just bringing your own. You'll thank me later!

I suggest wearing sturdy boots. The trek has some steep and rocky sections, and my friends who wore sneakers regretted it halfway through.

Make sure to carry cash, as there are no ATMs near Deoria Tal. I ran out of money for snacks and had to rely on my hiking mates for food!
