Kuta Beach
Try getting a local SIM card when you get to the airport. It's a lifesaver for navigation and communication, and you can find great deals if you shop around a bit!
Uluwatu Beach
If you’re looking to rent a board, check around instead of just the first rental shop. Prices can vary a lot, and some places offer better gear for cheaper!
Ancol Beach
Bring your own snacks and drinks to save money. Food inside can be pricey and not always great, so pack a picnic!
Check out the beach vibe on weekdays instead of weekends. It’s way less crowded, and you’ll have more space to chill and enjoy the sun.
Lagundri Beach
i think you should stay for the sunset – it’s stunning. grab a beer from a beach bar and relax. just make sure to get there by around 5:30 pm to catch the best views
Surf Desert Point
Lakey Beach
I recommend renting a scooter to explore the area; it’s way cheaper and gives you the freedom to find hidden beaches. Trust me, some of the best spots are off the beaten path.
Plengkung Beach
If you plan on surfing, I recommend hitting the waves early, like around 7 AM. The crowds are smaller, and the waves are way better then. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later.
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The local vendors are a bit pricey, and finding a good local restaurant is tougher than I thought. Saving a bit on food will let you splurge on activities instead!
Siberut
Make sure to bring cash. Not all places accept cards, plus you'll often find better prices at local eateries. I learned the hard way when I had to pay extra just to use a card at some spots.
Panaitan Island
If you’re into surfing, I recommend hitting the waves early in the morning around 6 AM. The surf is less crowded and the vibe is just perfect to catch some great waves
