During my visit, I saw some guided tours taking place and they seemed really informative. If you have a chance, consider joining one and you might learn some hidden gems about the fort!

I recommend going early in the morning like around 8 AM to avoid the crowds and really enjoy the peaceful vibe of the place... It gets busy quick

I think checking out the little museum inside is a must. It has some cool artifacts that tell the story behind the fort, but I wish I had spent more time there!

Bring some snacks and drinks, because the food options nearby can be a bit pricey. Picnicking on the grounds is a great idea!
The Bandung Geological Museum

I think the place can get a bit crowded in the afternoon, especially weekends. So try to swing by around 10 AM when it opens for a quieter experience.

I really enjoyed the interactive exhibits, so take your time with those! They can be educational and fun, plus they help break up the more serious parts of the museum. Don't rush past them!

My advice is to bring some water. The museum doesn't have a cafe, and you might get thirsty while exploring all the interesting displays, trust me!
Try to catch the geology film screening at 1 PM if you can. It adds a lot of context to what you see in the exhibits, and it's a chill break from walking around.
National Museum of Indonesia

Check out the cafe inside before heading out for lunch. They have some really tasty local dishes at decent prices. I saved a bunch by eating there rather than somewhere fancy!
If you want some great pictures, head to the courtyard. It's quieter there and the architecture is stunning. I wish I'd stayed longer to snap more pics.

Grab a map at the entrance; it makes it sooo much easier to get around! I found myself backtracking a few times because I underestimated the size of the museum.

I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. The weekends can be super crowded, and I enjoyed the exhibits way more when there were fewer people around.
The Ambarawa Railway Museum

Try to catch one of the train rides – they only happen a few times a day. I missed it because I didn't check the schedule beforehand, and it would’ve been a highlight!

Don’t forget your camera. The old steam trains are super photogenic. I regret not taking more pics because the lighting was perfect in the morning.
Wear comfy shoes! You’ll be walking a lot around the displays and trains. I wore sandals and they weren't the best choice, trust me.

Make sure to bring cash, especially for the train rides. I was stuck because I assumed they took cards, but it was cash only so plan ahead.
Bank Indonesia Museum
The House of Sampoerna

I recommend arriving right when they open at 9 AM. You’ll have the place mostly to yourself, and it’s perfect for taking photos without photobombers!

If you have time, spend at least an hour exploring the little shops nearby. Some had cool local crafts that are perfect for souvenirs!

If you don’t want to splurge on the audio guide, just grab a brochure at the entrance. It has enough detail to keep you informed without extra cost!

I suggest you wear comfy shoes. You might end up walking around more than you expected, and my feet hurt by the end!
Aceh Tsunami Museum

Don’t miss the interactive sections; they were surprisingly engaging and really add to the experience. I thought they were gonna be a bit dull tbh!

Take your time in the museum; don’t rush. I spent about 2-3 hours here and still felt like I could have seen more!

If you're on a budget, skip the expensive souvenirs inside the museum. There are local shops nearby with way better prices and unique items

Bring a water bottle and some snacks. There’s not much food around and you might want a little pick-me-up while wandering through.
Dirgantara Mandala Museum
If you can download their audio guide app before your visit. It adds a lot to the experience without having to rely solely on pamphlets.

If you're planning to go, I recommend visiting in the morning around 9 AM to avoid crowds. It’s way more enjoyable when you can explore at your own pace.

I think it’s worth checking if they have any temporary exhibitions or events; sometimes, they have special showcases that can be fascinating to see!

I suggest packing some snacks. The museum cafeteria is a bit pricey, and you might want to grab a quick bite between exhibits.
