Imam Reza Holy Shrine
Tom of Hafez

If you're planning to take photos, go to the right side of the tomb around noon. The light is perfect there! I missed this and ended up with some weird shadows.

Take your time to read the inscriptions and maybe even learn a few lines of Hafez's poetry. It really adds to the experience! I wish I had done this.

I recommend going in the early morning, around 8 AM, to avoid the heat and the crowds – the place is magical with the fountains and flowers in the cool air.

My advice is to grab some snacks before you go. There are not many food options inside, and you might want something to munch on while enjoying the gardens.
Naksh-e Jahan Square
Persepolis

If you can, download a good historical app or guide before visiting. It’ll give you insights that the signs sometimes don’t cover well.

Consider bringing your own snacks and water, as the prices inside are a bit steep, and there’s not much variety
Azadi Tower

Wear comfortable shoes! The surrounding park is lovely for walking and exploring, so you’ll want to stroll around without any foot pain.

I suggest bringing a good camera or just using your phone; the views from the observation deck are stunning and totally Instagram-worthy!

Check the weather forecast before you go. If it’s a clear day, the views from the top are breathtaking; on a foggy day, you might miss out.

Plan to visit during the early morning, around 8 AM, to avoid the crowds and capture great photos of the tower with soft lighting. It’s much quieter then.
Tabiat Bridge
Si-o-se-pol

I highly recommend trying some local street food before you explore. The vendors near the bridge offer tasty snacks for just a couple of bucks!

My advice is to take the time to sit on the bridge and watch the locals. It was my favorite part, and I got to enjoy the real vibe of Isfahan!

Check the sunset time before you go. I went around 5 PM and missed the golden hour. If you can time your visit for around 6 PM, you'll get the most stunning photos.

Consider bringing a scarf or shawl, especially in the evenings. It can get a bit chilly by the water, but it's nice to sit and enjoy the atmosphere after sunset
Golestan Palace

Try to visit right when it opens at 9 AM. The light is beautiful for pictures, and you’ll have a quieter experience before the crowds come in. I really enjoyed my time without bumping into too many people.

Grab a map at the entrance; it's super helpful to navigate through the complex and make sure you don’t miss any hidden corners. Trust me, I missed out on a few great spots thinking I could wing it!

If you're on a budget, check out the combo ticket options for the various museums inside the palace grounds. I saved some cash by getting that instead of individual tickets!
Don't forget to check out the little café inside the gardens. I recommend grabbing a tea or some local snacks to enjoy the surroundings. It made my experience much more relaxing!
Mosque Nasir ol-Molk
Wank Church

I recommend going early in the morning around 9 AM to avoid crowds. The light for photos is fantastic then too!

Keep an eye out for the beautiful frescoes; they’re stunning. I actually missed some because I was too busy taking photos from the outside.
