Tramore Beach
Don’t miss the promenade walk before sunset. The views are stunning, and it’s a peaceful way to end your beach day without spending a dime.
Inchydoney Beach
Don’t forget to bring your own towels and beach toys as rentals can be pricey. I paid way more than I expected for just a couple of beach items so bringing your own saves money.
If you’re planning to surf, check the tide times first. The waves can be different based on the tides and it can be frustrating not knowing when the best times to catch waves are.
Bring a light jacket! I didn't expect the wind to pick up in the afternoon. It can get a bit chilly even on sunny days, so be prepared.
Strandhill Beach
If you're planning to surf, try to get there around 8 AM. The waves were really nice and not too crowded then, plus you can grab a good parking spot before the beach fills up!
Ballybunion Beach
My advice is to pack a picnic! The beach cafe can get pricey, and there are some beautiful spots to settle down with your own snacks. I regretted not bringing my own food.
I suggest checking the surf forecast before heading to Ballybunion. I found the waves to be awesome on Wednesday morning around 9 AM, but pretty flat the rest of the week. Saved me from disappointment!
Inch Beach
If you're into photography, try visiting during golden hour (around 6-7 PM). The sunsets are unbelievable, and you'll get some awesome shots without all the daytime crowds!
Bring a picnic! There aren't many restaurants immediately by the beach, and while the food trucks are good, you'll save money and enjoy the gorgeous scenery more if you pack your own lunch
Mullaghmore Beach
i suggest hitting the beach early in the morning, like around 8 am, for calmer waves and a less crowded spot. it's perfect for a peaceful walk and you’ll get the gorgeous sunrise too.
My advice is to pack a picnic. There were a couple of food trucks, but prices feel a bit steep. I saved a good bit by enjoying my own snacks right by the surf
