Masada National Park
I think a sunset visit would be incredible! The view from the top at that time is just breathtaking, just check the closing times so you don’t get stuck!
My advice is to wear comfy shoes. The hike can be steeper than you'd expect and those cobblestone paths can be a bit slippery!
Yarkon Park
Aim to arrive early, like around 8 AM. The morning light is perfect for photos and it’s way less crowded, which makes strolling more enjoyable.
Check the park's event schedule before you go. I went on a Sunday and stumbled into a cool live music show which was totally free!
Underwater Observatory Park
Check the weather before you go. I was caught in the sun without enough shade. There are some areas indoors, but the outdoor exhibits can get hot.
If you're planning to catch the fish feeding show, arrive 10 minutes early so you can grab a good spot. It's a highlight and fills up fast!
Gan Hashlosha
Bring your own water shoes. The rocks can be a bit rough on the feet, and I wish I'd known ahead of time so my visit could’ve been more enjoyable!
Gazelle Valley
Wear comfy shoes; the paths can get uneven. I wore sandals and regretted it when I hit a rocky spot on the trail.
Timna Park
If you're into geology, don't miss the Solomon's Pillars. They’re breathtaking! But plan a good hour just to soak it all in, trust me!
I suggest starting your day around 8 AM to beat the heat and crowds. The morning light is also better for photos of the formations and scenery.
Edith Wolfson Park
I suggest checking out the small art installations scattered around the park. They’re easy to miss, but they add a nice touch to your stroll.
Herodion National Park
Menachem Begin Park
Don't skip the little paths leading to the quieter corners of the park. I stumbled upon some lovely benches and artworks that were off the beaten path!
Check out the start of the week for fewer crowds. I went on a Monday morning and felt like I had the place to myself!
Bring a picnic! The park is super spacious, and I found a great spot to relax and have lunch without spending a dime on food.
Independence Park
I suggest checking out the free events that are sometimes held in the park. You might catch some local music or art happenings; it's a great way to connect with the culture!
