Speck Stube

Check out their wines! I enjoyed a local red that paired beautifully with the food. Ask the staff for recommendations!

Bring your own water bottle if you’re a thirsty traveler. They only offer bottled water, and it adds up quick!

Definitely try the speck platter; it’s amazing and gives you a taste of local flavors. I think it's one of the best deals on the menu.
Trattoria Otello Trastevere
One thing I wishes I’d done was make a reservation. It gets packed, especially on weekends, so booking ahead can save you from standing around waiting.

I recommend checking the daily specials. Sometimes they have fresh seafood or other local dishes that aren’t on the regular menu, and they’re usually cheaper

If you want to save a few bucks, share a starter. The portions are pretty generous, and it lets you sample more dishes without breaking the bank.
Valdonica Winery
Piazza Delle Erbe
Bastione

My advice is to try the local wines offered at the restaurant since they are great! I ordered one and it was perfect for this setting, but don’t be fooled by the dessert only menu – they have more options.

If you're planning to eat at the on-site restaurant, I suggest checking reviews first. I had an average meal, and I saw others enjoying better dishes elsewhere. A little research goes a long way

I think bringing a light snack is a good idea! There aren’t many dining options up there, and I saw folks paying high prices for simple things. Pack some sandwiches to save cash.

When you go to Bastione, I recommend arriving by 9 AM. The views are breathtaking in the morning light and fewer people around means you can snag the best spots for photos.
Ago and Rita

If you're planning to eat outside, make a reservation for around 7 PM. It gets packed, and the view is worth it!

My advice is to ask your server for wine recommendations; they know what pairs best with your meal and can help you find a good deal!

Check the daily specials when you arrive. They often have unique dishes that aren’t on the regular menu and based on local produce!
Trattoria del Pescatore

I recommend checking out their wine list before you go. I just asked the waiter what they suggested, but I wish I had done a little research to save some cash!
Try the seafood risotto; it's to die for! I honestly think it was one of the best I've ever had, and totally worth the price.

If you can, arrive around 6:30 PM. The place fills up fast after that, and you'll have a better chance to snap photos before it gets crowded.

My advice is to skip the appetizers and go straight for the main course. The portions are pretty generous, and you'll want to save room for dessert!
La Pergola

Definitely make a reservation ahead of time, especially if you're aiming for a prime dinner slot. I saw a lot of people turned away because they hadn't booked.

Check out the tasting menus! I thought they were a great value compared to ordering a la carte, plus you get to try a variety of dishes
