Tokyo Skytree
Tokyo TV Tower

Check out the small gift shops inside. They have unique Tokyo souvenirs that you won't find elsewhere, and they’re surprisingly affordable!

Wear comfortable shoes! The stairs down from the observation deck are a bit steep, and you'll want to explore the area too.

If you're planning to go up to the Main Deck and the Special Deck, buy a combo ticket. It saves you some cash compared to buying them separately!

Consider going on a weekday if you can. The weekends can get super crowded and you'll have a much more relaxed experience otherwise.
Abeno Harukas
Umeda Sky Building

Be prepared for the elevator ride to be a bit crowded. It’s a little hectic, but I recommend chatting with others in line; we met some super nice folks while waiting!

Try to visit during sunset, around 5-6 PM, for the most stunning views. The transition from daylight to night is really magical and you get to see the city light up. Trust me, it's worth it!

I think grabbing some snacks before heading to the observatory is a good idea. The cafes on-site can be pricey and it can get kinda packed during lunchtime.

Plan your visit on a weekday instead of a weekend. I went on a Sunday and the lines were long and crazy. Weekdays tend to be much quieter and more relaxed!
Tsutenkaku

Make sure to try the famous kushikatsu at one of the nearby eateries before or after your visit. It's a total must for a real Osaka experience!

I recommend visiting Tsutenkaku around opening time at 10 AM. The lines are way shorter, and you can really soak in the views without the crowds.

Bring a camera with a good zoom lens! The view of Osaka is stunning, but the details of the cityscape really pop from up there. Also, watch out for metal reflections from the sun!

My advice is to explore the shops around the base of Tsutenkaku too. There are some cool local shops and street food stalls that you won't want to miss.

Sapporo TV Tower
Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Deck
Shisha Tokyo

If you're on a budget, go during happy hour from 5 to 7 pm. You get discounted shisha, which totally makes the experience better!
My advice is to check their Instagram before you go. They sometimes post about limited edition flavors or special events that you wouldn’t wanna miss!
I think it's a good idea to reserve a table on weekends. It can get packed, and I had to wait a bit before getting seated. Next time, I’m booking ahead!

I recommend trying their special flavored shishas; they're unique and def worth it! I went for the watermelon mint and it was super refreshing
Mount Aso

Don't just rush to the crater; explore the hiking trails. I spent hours wandering around the fantastic landscapes and it was way more enjoyable than just looking at the crater alone!

Check the weather before you go! It can totally change how you experience Mount Aso. I got caught in fog and missed the views. Early mornings around 8 AM are best for clear skies and fewer crowds.

If you're planning to use the cable car, buy a round-trip ticket in advance. I went for a one-way and ended up waiting longer than expected for a ride back. Save your time and money!
