Snow Arena

Don't skip the warm-up area! It's a great place to get your bearings if you're a newbie. I made the mistake of jumping straight in, and it was a bit overwhelming at first
Liepkalnis
I suggest renting your gear instead of buying—way cheaper and you get to try out different brands. Plus, the rental shop near the entrance is super convenient.

I recommend going early, like around 9 AM, to avoid the crowds and get the best runs in before it gets packed. It made a huge difference for me!

If you're into snowmobiling, book your session in advance. I waited in line for ages and ended up missing out. Just plan ahead!

Don't overlook the food options! The cafeteria has pretty decent meals that won't break the bank, although I wish I'd checked their daily specials first for better deals
Aukstagire Ski Area

Don't miss the night skiing sessions if they have them! It’s such a blast and way less crowded. I went one evening and it was the highlight of my trip.

If you’re new to skiing or snowboarding, I recommend taking a lesson. It might feel like an extra cost, but I think it’s totally worth it to avoid forming bad habits. Plus, the instructors are super friendly!

Check if there are any discounts on lift passes for the day you’re going. Sometimes they have deals for first timers or during weekdays, which can really save you some cash.
I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks! Food there can be a bit pricey, and I wish I’d packed a sandwich... Plus, more energy for skiing!
