If you can, avoid the weekends. I went on a Sunday and the crowds were insane. Try to visit on a weekday, preferably around 10 am, for a more peaceful experience and better photos!

My advice is to hire a local guide for the best experience. I thought I could manage on my own, but having a guide really opened up the park's hidden gems and you'll learn a lot more about the wildlife.

Make sure to wear good hiking shoes, the trails can get a bit tricky in some spots. My sandals weren't the best choice, and I ended up slipping a few times

If you're planning to hike, bring cash for park entry and local guides; I found some ATMs nearby, but they can be unreliable. I suggest setting aside about 50,000 MGA for a guide—they're super knowledgeable and can help spot wildlife you might miss.

I recommend packing a decent lunch; the park's food options are limited and pricey. You'll enjoy a picnic while spotting lemurs - trust me, it makes the experience even better!

my advice is to bring plenty of water and snacks if you're planning to hike. i struggled a bit without enough supplies, and it definitely cut into my fun time exploring!
