Malta National Aquarium

Check out the feeding times for the fish! It's super cool to see them go wild and it's a great opportunity for photos. I missed it, and felt I missed out on something special.
Paradise Bay Beach

If you're planning on renting a sunbed, try to get there by 10 AM. The good spots get taken fast, and I ended up with a less-than-ideal view!
Watch out for the rocky areas when swimming. I slipped on some rocks and it hurt a bit. Just bring water shoes if you can, it'll save you some pain!
Gardens of Upper Barracque
Blue Grotto
Dingli Cliffs and Fawwara Trail
St Paul’s Catacombs

If you're interested in taking photos, avoid bringing a bulky camera. A good smartphone is perfect for the tight spaces, and you'll save yourself the hassle!

I recommend checking out the small museum on-site first. It gives you a fantastic background on what you’ll see and helps put the catacombs into context.

I suggest visiting right when they open at 9 AM to avoid the crowds and get some great photos without people in the way. Trust me, it makes a difference!

Make sure to bring a flashlight or use your phone's light for those darker parts of the catacombs. Some areas are pretty dim, and you'll want to see everything clearly!
Lower Barrakka Gardens

I recommend bringing a book or a snack to enjoy while you're there; it's such a peaceful spot and you can really soak in the beauty. I did that, it was a great way to relax!

If you're on a tight budget, skip the overpriced cafes nearby. There’s a little bakery just a short walk away with delish pastries and coffee at much better prices!

Make sure to visit the Upper Barrakka Gardens too; the views over the Grand Harbour are stunning! I almost missed it and I would have regretted it.
Salt Pans

If you can, try to visit during sunset around 6 PM. The views are absolutely stunning and make for great photos!

I recommend chatting with the salt pan workers. They are super friendly and share cool stories about the history. It really added to my experience!

Keep your eyes peeled for the wildlife. I think I saw more birds than I expected. Bring binoculars if you're into birdwatching.

You know, pack some snacks and water! The area is so peaceful, that you might want to hang out longer, and there’s not a cafe around to grab a bite
Ghasri Valley

If you're into photography, I recommend visiting the valley around sunset. The lighting is just magical and really makes the colors pop. Plus, you'll avoid the crowds.

I suggest wearing good hiking boots. I thought my trainers were enough, but some parts were slippery and uneven. Trust me, you’ll be more comfortable!
Sanap Cliffs

If you want the best photos, head there early in the morning around 7 AM. The light is beautiful and it’s less crowded, making it easier to soak in the scenery!
