I think it’s smart to book a cabana ahead of time if you can; otherwise, you might end up sitting on the sand with no shade.

My advice is to ask for the daily specials on food and drinks - I found out they had half-price tacos on Tuesdays, which was a total score!

Be prepared for the beach club prices; drinks can be steeper than you'd expect. I suggest bringing some cash for tips and small purchases, just to be on the safe side.

I recommend arriving by 10 AM before the crowd hits; you'll get a better spot on the beach and the vibe is way more chill in the morning.
Ahau Tulum

At the bar, try to stick with local drinks. I went for some fancy cocktails and ended up spending way more than I needed to. The beer and margaritas were way better and cheaper!

Bring some cash for tips and extras. I had to run back to the ATM because my card didn’t work everywhere, which was a bit of a hassle. Cash makes things smoother.

Definitely grab a beach bed early in the day! I got there around 9 AM and scored a great spot. By 11, it was super busy, and I wished I had secured my place sooner
Bagatelle Tulum

Pack some sunscreen and a hat! You’re in Mexico, and I definitely got a bit too much sun despite thinking I was careful. Stay protected so you can enjoy your time without the burn.

The food is great, but if you’re on a budget, consider sharing a couple of dishes instead of ordering one each. The portions are generous, and it’s a way to try more things.

Bring cash for tips; the service was fantastic and I wanted to leave a little extra for the hard work. They also don't always take credit cards for smaller purchases, so having cash helps.

Check out their daily specials or happy hour! I found some killer deals on drinks and appetizers that weren’t advertised but the staff were super friendly and let us in on the secrets.
Taboo Tulum

I think it’s worth booking a reservation in advance, especially on weekends. It can get super busy, and you don’t want to risk missing out!

I recommend arriving around 11 AM to grab a good spot on the beach beds before it gets crowded. Trust me, those front-row views are worth it!

Check out the happy hour for drinks between 5 PM and 7 PM. You can sip on tasty cocktails while saving some cash!
Ziggy's Beach Club & Restaurant
Papaya Playa Project

If you're looking to catch the sunset, get there around 5 PM; the views from the beach are absolutely stunning! Bring a pair of sandals, as the sand can get really hot during the day.

Take some time to explore beyond just the beach club area. The eco-friendly vibe is strong, and you might discover some hidden gems like local art installations.

I think bringing your own beach towel can save you some extra cash, as they charge for rentals. Plus, it's nice to have something familiar from home while lounging on the beach!

My advice is to try the house-made guacamole at the restaurant—it's super fresh and a favorite among many visitors. Pair it with a local cocktail for a great experience!
Akiin Tulum

I think the happy hour from 5 PM to 7 PM is a must! The cocktails are cheaper, and it’s a great way to unwind while enjoying the sunset.

My advice is to bring your own snorkel gear if you have it. The water is amazing and you’ll save money compared to renting there.

I recommend getting there around 10 AM to snag the best beach chairs and avoid the afternoon rush. It makes such a difference to have the perfect spot!

If you plan on having lunch, consider sharing a few dishes. The portions are pretty big, and it’ll save you some cash. Plus, you get to try more items!
Vagalume Tulum Beach Club

If you wanna save money, try their happy hour specials – they were legit. I got two cocktails for the price of one between 4-6 PM, and they were delicious.

I suggest showing up around 11 AM to grab a good sunbed. It can get super crowded after noon and it’s way nicer having a chill spot before the rush.

My advice is to bring your own towels if you can. They charge extra for rentals, and it's just a little annoying when you could’ve saved that cash for drinks.
Buuts' Ha' Cenote Club

I suggest arriving right at opening time, around 10 AM, to snag a good spot near the cenote and avoid the midday crowd. It made a huge difference for us!

Look out for some local artisans selling crafts near the entrance. I found unique souvenirs that were way more reasonable than those in shops in Tulum.

Bring your own snacks and drinks if you can. Prices on-site can add up quickly, and the food selection is limited. We saved a lot this way!

My advice is to wear aqua shoes if you're planning to swim in the cenote. The rocky bottom can be a bit rough, and it made my experience so much more comfortable.
