Chapala Lake

I suggest arriving by 9 AM to beat the crowds and snag a good spot by the lake. The morning light is stunning for photos too!

I recommend checking the weather before your visit. It can get real hot in the afternoon, so bring a hat and sunscreen to stay comfy!

My advice is to try the local seafood at the lakeside restaurants. They're tasty and won't break the bank like some tourist traps do

I think walking along the malecon is a must, but wear comfortable shoes! Some parts can be a bit rocky and tricky to navigate.
Lago Pojoj

I recommend getting to Lago Pojoj early, around 8 AM, to beat the crowds and grab the best spots for photos. It was super peaceful at that time!

If you're looking to save some cash bring your own snacks and drinks. The food options around the lake can be pricey and not that great. I did this and it made my day much more enjoyable!

If you're planning to swim, bring water shoes! The rocky bottom was a bit tricky, but totally worth it once I got used to it. Plus, no cuts on my feet!
