Grutas Tolantongo

You might want to consider bringing cash. The place has ATMs, but they can run out of money, and some vendors prefer cash over cards
Bring your own snacks and drinks! The food at the park is decent, but the prices are a bit steep – plus, you'll save time skipping the lines.

To get the most out of your visit, I suggest hiking the trails before diving into the hot springs – the views are breathtaking and worth the effort!

While the cable cars are a fun ride, the hike back down is just as cool. I think it’s a hidden gem, and you get to enjoy the scenery at your own pace.
Los Dinamos

Bring cash! Some spots don’t accept cards, and you might miss out on snacks or entry fees if you don’t have enough on hand

I suggest getting there by 8 AM to enjoy the trails before it gets crowded and the sun becomes too harsh. Early morning is stunning!

Pack a picnic! It's such a beautiful area, and having lunch surrounded by nature is a fantastic experience.

check the weather beforehand. i got caught in a sudden downpour, and it dampened the fun. a quick look will save you from getting soaked!
Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve

If you're looking to save money, consider using public transportation to get there. The taxi prices can add up quickly, and the bus is super affordable.

If you can, visit on a weekday; it’s way less crowded, and you can enjoy the sights without bumping elbows with a hundred other tourists

Check the weather ahead of time. I went after a rain, and some trails were muddy and slippery, which made the hike a bit tricky!

Bring some snacks and water; there aren't many places to buy food once you’re deep in the reserve. It's not the best time to be hunting for a café.
Hierve el Agua
La Bufadora
Natural Arch of Cabo San Lucas

If you're planning to swim, I suggest avoiding the area right around the arch; the currents can be strong and it’s better to relax at nearby beaches instead.

Check out the local boat tours to get closer to the arch! I found one that was affordable and included a guide who shared cool facts about the area.

I recommend arriving around 8 AM to beat the crowds and enjoy the stunning views without the hustle. The early morning light is perfect for photos too!

Plan for some time to hike around the area afterwards. The views from different angles are incredible and it's worth exploring a bit more beyond just the arch.
Las Pozas

My advice is to wear good walking shoes because the paths can get a bit tricky. I learned the hard way after slipping in my sandals.

If you're on a budget, consider bringing snacks and drinks with you. Prices in the nearby shops can be quite high, and it’s nice to enjoy a picnic!

I suggest downloading an offline map of the area before going. Cell service can be spotty, and I got lost trying to find my way back to the entrance
Laguna De Kaan Luum

Don’t forget to bring a good pair of water shoes! The bottom of the lagoon can be a bit rocky, and they made my experience way more comfortable.

I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks, as the food options there are limited and a bit pricey. There's nothing like enjoying a picnic by the lagoon.
Cenote Suytun
Gran Cenote

I recommend exploring the cenote fully; there’s a part that’s super shallow and calm. I totally thought it was just a swimming hole, but I found some cool spots once I wandered around!

Don't forget to bring your own snorkeling gear if you have it! Rentals can be pricey, and honestly, it’s so much nicer using your own stuff.
