Kotor Beach

I recommend bringing water shoes if you can, as some areas can be rocky. Trust me, I scraped my feet the first time, and it wasn't fun.
Black Lake
Durmitor

Pack a picnic! There are some stunning spots around Black Lake for a lunch break. I wish I had brought more snacks because the cafes are a bit pricey and not always that good.

Don't miss the sunrise hike to Bobotov Kuk; it's totally worth the early start! I went at 5 AM and the views were breathtaking! Bring a good flashlight.

I recommend getting a local SIM card for data! It makes navigation and checking for trails much easier. Wi-Fi in some areas can be hit or miss.

Check the weather before your trip. It can change quickly in the mountains. I got caught in a surprise hailstorm, which was fun but not what I expected.
Lovcen National Park

Bring cash for entry fees and snacks. I got caught off guard and had to scramble for a nearby ATM later. Most snack vendors along the trails only take cash so it's good to be prepared.

Definitely wear sturdy shoes! I thought my casual sneakers would be fine, but the trails can get tricky. Invest in some good hiking boots and save yourself from sore feet!
Jaz Beach

Watch out for the sun—it can be really intense! I recommend bringing an umbrella or a beach tent to take breaks, especially if you're planning to spend the whole day. Trust me, I learned the hard way!

If you're on a budget, grab some snacks and drinks from a local supermarket before hitting the beach—food prices at Jaz can be a bit steep! You’ll save a good chunk of change this way.
White Drin Waterfall
Lipa Cave
Mrtvica Canyon

I suggest starting your hike around 8 AM to beat the heat and crowds. The morning light is perfect for photos too!
Ada Bojana

I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks. The beach bars can be pricey and the quality isn't always the best. Saving some cash and enjoying your own food is a win-win!

Take a stroll along the beach in the late afternoon around 5 PM; the sunset view is incredible, and it's much less crowded then. Perfect for those Instagram shots!

Arrive by 9 AM to snag a good parking spot, especially during peak season. It fills up quick! Trust me, a little extra sleep isn't worth the stress of hunting for a spot later
Tara Canyon

Definitely wear good hiking boots! I thought my sneakers would be fine, but the trails can get slippery, especially when it's wet. I ended up with muddy shoes and a sore foot!

I recommend checking out the viewpoints along the canyon before doing any rafting. The views are breathtaking and it’s a great way to get your bearings. I missed some cool spots because I focused too much on the activities.

If you're going for the ziplining, wear comfortable clothes and be ready for the wind! I almost got blown off track; best to secure your gear tightly before you take that leap!
