I'd suggest visiting early in the morning, around 7 AM, to avoid the mid-day heat and catch the soft morning light for amazing photos... Trust me, the canyon looks totally different in the morning!

If you plan to drive from nearby towns, check the fuel stations along the way. They can be sparse, and you'd hate to run out of gas during your adventure!
