I think renting ski gear is a must, but I'd recommend booking it in advance. When I arrived, the lines were long and they ran out of sizes quickly.

I suggest you bring your own snacks and drinks. The onsite food can be a bit pricey and not the best quality. I packed some sandwiches and saved a good amount!
