Shakarparian National Park
Don't forget to charge your phone. I ran out of battery taking photos because the views are super photogenic, so bring a power bank too.
I think it’s a great idea to check the weather beforehand. I got caught in a sprinkle and didn’t have an umbrella, so a little prep can go a long way!
Race Course
I recommend exploring the small gardens and quiet corners! They are often overlooked by tourists and you might just find a lovely spot to chill out and enjoy the scenery.
My advice is to bring your own snacks and water. There are food stalls, but they can be a bit pricey and sometimes not the best quality.
Ayub National Park
Fatima Jinnah Park
My advice is to bring a water bottle and some snacks. The park is lovely, but food options can be pricey and limited.
Bagh-e-Jinnah
Lake View Park
Greater Iqbal Park
I suggest visiting in the early morning, around 7 AM. The park is quieter, and you can really enjoy the views without the huge crowds and heat.
Hiran MInar Park
I think you should explore the garden areas before heading to the Hiran Minar itself. You'll likely find quiet spots to chill and appreciate the architecture without the rush.
I suggest visiting during the early morning around 8 AM. The park is less crowded then, and the light for photos is awesome. Trust me, it makes a huge difference for your pics.
My advice is to bring some snacks and water. The food stalls can be a bit pricey and not all that great, so packing your own treats saves you money.
Deosai National Park
I think you should try to visit during the last week of August when the wildflowers are in full bloom, it’s just stunning! I went in early September and missed a lot of the colors.
My advice is to start your hikes by 7 AM. You'll get the best views and avoid the midday heat. I went too late once, and the lighting wasn’t great for photos.
Margalla Hills
I'd recommend getting there around 7 AM. The sunrise views are breathtaking, and you’ll beat the crowds and the heat. Plus, it feels so peaceful to be up there early!
Bring cash for local food stalls. I got caught out because some places don’t accept cards and I missed out on some tasty snacks after my hike
I suggest wearing good hiking shoes! I took a wrong turn and ended up on a steeper trail than I expected, and trust me, proper shoes made all the difference.
