San Jose Beach

i recommend trying the local fish dish from beach shacks, but check reviews first. i ended up with one that was below average and regretted not looking beforehand.

If you’re up for it, rent a bike and explore the coastal trails. It’s a fun way to see the area without wasting time sitting in traffic. Plus, the views are stunning!

My advice is to explore the nearby local markets before heading to the beach. You can find affordable souvenirs and delicious street food that beats eating at tourist traps.

I think you should visit around 4 PM. The sun isn't too harsh, and you can enjoy a gorgeous sunset without the mid-day heat spoiling your fun.
Saltos del Monday

I suggest bringing some snacks and water. There aren't many places to grab food around the waterfalls, and it was great to chill and eat while enjoying the views. Don't miss that perfect picnic vibe.

My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. The trails can get slippery, and I slipped a bit in sandals, so I totally learned that the hard way.

If you can, visit around 3 PM. The lighting in the afternoon really makes for stunning photos – trust me, I wish I'd gone later in the day!
Mboi Ka Beach

Bring some beach games or a frisbee. I had a blast playing beach volleyball with my friends, and it was a great way to meet locals and other travelers.
Plaza Uruguaya

Make sure to grab a snack from a nearby vendor. The food is cheap and tasty, but be ready to negotiate a bit. It’s part of the fun!

i recommend visiting in the morning around 9 am. the weather’s cooler and you can avoid the crowds that come later. perfect for some nice photos!

If you’re looking for shade, head towards the large trees in the park area. It gets super hot during midday, trust me, I learned that the hard way!
Eco Reserva Mbatovi
Botanical Garden and Zoo
Plaza de Armas
I suggest wearing comfy shoes. The park is bigger than it looks and you'll want to stroll around without your feet killing you
Ybycui National Park

I recommend visiting on a weekday if you can. The weekends get super crowded, which takes away from the peace and beauty of the park. I went on Tuesday and it was so much more enjoyable!

I suggest packing some snacks and water before heading out. There aren’t many places to grab food once you’re inside the park. I learned this the hard way and ended up hungry the whole day!
