I suggest bringing your own snacks and water. The local shops can be pricey and limited, so packing a picnic lets you enjoy the scenery even more

If you can, take the alternative route via Cocachimba. It's a longer trek, but the views are breathtaking and a little less crowded. Trust me, it's worth it!

I suggest bringing cash in small bills. Some local spots along the way only accept cash for food and drinks, so it's good to be prepared.

Buy your tickets in advance online. It saves you time in line, and you can often find discounts that aren't available at the entrance. I ended up paying less!

Bring snacks and water. The hike can be more demanding than it looks, and there aren't many places to buy refreshments once you're there.

Take your time exploring the site. There are so many hidden gems in the architecture. I regret rushing through and not capturing better photos!

I highly recommend bringing your own snacks and water. The food at the base camp is pricey and I was shocked by how much they charged! Save your cash and enjoy your own stuff while soaking in the views

Don't forget to pack a portable charger for your phone. There’s not a lot of power sources around and you’ll want to take plenty of photos. I ran out of battery just as I got to the best spots.

i suggest bringing your own snacks from huaraz. the food on the trek is decent, but it can get a bit repetitive and it’s nice to munch on your favs while walking.

I really recommend starting your trek early, around 6 AM. It gets super hot later, and you'll want to enjoy those breathtaking views without frying in the sun. Plus, less crowded!
