Paracas National Reserve
I think renting a bike is a good idea, but make sure to inspect it first. I got a flat tire halfway through, and it kind of ruined my day. Don’t let that happen to you!
Plaza de Armas de Ollantaytambo
if you want to snap some epic photos without crowds try visiting around 8 am. the light is great and you'll avoid the larger tour groups that come later.
Check out the local food stalls around the plaza for delicious, budget-friendly meals. I found an awesome spot selling freshly made empanadas that were super tasty and only a couple of soles.
Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve
Mandor
I suggest visiting Mandor early, around 8 AM. The morning light is gorgeous for photos, and you'll beat the crowds that come later. It made my experience so much more relaxed!
Bosque del Amor
I recommend bringing some snacks and water. There's not a lot of options to buy food there, and you’ll want to keep your energy up while exploring the trails.
Manglares de Tumbes National Sanctuary
I think you should hire a local guide. They have great knowledge about the mangroves and wildlife, and it’s worth every penny to enhance your experience!
I suggest visiting around 7 AM to catch the sunrise and see the birds at their most active. It was amazing, and you’ll avoid the midday heat and crowds!
Plaza Kusipata
Check out the local eateries around the plaza for super affordable meals. I found some amazing ceviche and it was way cheaper than the touristy spots nearby. Save some cash while enjoying local flavors!
Take a stroll to the nearby artisan markets after visiting the plaza. I wish I had done this sooner; it's a great way to support local artists and find unique souvenirs. Remember to bargain a little!
Cerros de Amotape National Park
I recommend packing snacks and water; there's not much around once you're deep in the park. You'll save money and avoid the hassle of searching for food later on.

i recommend checking out the trails around 9 am. you'll beat the midday heat and get a chance to see wildlife while it's still active. plus, it’s a lot less crowded early on!
Sierra del Divisor National Park
My advice is to hire a local guide. They know the park inside out, and it enhances the experience. Plus, you’ll be supporting the community, which makes your visit that much more meaningful
If you're planning to hike, bring a good pair of binoculars. Wildlife spotting is incredible, and some of the best views are off the beaten path. Trust me, you'll want to see the unique species up close!
