Try to arrive around 7:30 AM. The sunrise view is absolutely stunning and way less crowded. It felt like I had the place to myself!
I suggest wearing comfy shoes. The trails can be a bit tricky, and I almost tripped a few times. Better safe than sorry, right?
My advice is to talk to the locals—they have some great stories and tips about the area! I made friends who gave me cool insights I wouldn’t have found online.
Lima to Huancayo
I recommend booking your train tickets in advance, especially during the high season. I didn't and ended up spending a lot of time waiting for a train that was fully booked. Trust me, save yourself that headache!
Be sure to bring snacks and drinks, as the train ride can get long and food options are limited. I made the mistake of not packing enough, and I really regretted it halfway through the trip
