Lazienki
Make use of the free walking routes; they’re well marked and give you a great view of everything without extra cost! I missed a few because I didn’t follow the signs.
Shchitnitsky Park
I suggest visiting Shchitnitsky Park early in the morning around 8 AM to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and avoid the crowds, especially on weekends.
I recommend checking out the park during different seasons; each one offers a unique vibe. Autumn is especially gorgeous with the foliage!
Bring your camera! The park is super photogenic, and you'll find many picturesque spots that you'll want to capture. Don't forget to snap some photos by the water!
My advice is to check the park's event schedule before visiting. There might be local performances or markets happening that can enhance your experience!
Oytsovsky National Park
Get there around 8 AM. The park is way quieter, and you can enjoy the trails without the crowds. I thought I’d sleep in, but I was so glad I got an early start!
Wear sturdy shoes! I wore flip-flops thinking, 'It’s just a park,' but the trails had some rough patches. Trust me, your feet will thank you later!
Download a map before you go. I didn't and ended up lost for a bit, which wasted some time. The signage isn’t always the best, so being prepared helps.
Look for the less popular trails. I took the route that everyone raves about, and it was packed. The hidden paths were so much more peaceful and beautiful!
Krakow Planty
If you're planning a picnic, grab some snacks from a nearby grocery store instead of overpriced cafes. I found a nice spot near the benches by the Wisla River. Perfect view and way cheaper!
watch out for cyclists! they zoom through the park and i nearly got run over. stay alert or stick to the grassier paths if you're walking with kids.
I suggest setting aside at least two hours to stroll around. There are lots of nooks and crannies I missed when I rushed through it. Take your time and soak in the pretty sights!
Slovinsky National Park
If you're into photography, try to catch the sunset from the dunes. I think it's worth it. I missed it and regretted not staying a bit longer.
I suggest looking for local accommodations instead of big hotels. There’s a charm in smaller guesthouses, and you might even get some local tips from the owners that you wouldn’t find in a guidebook.
My advice is to wear sturdy shoes. The paths can get sandy and uneven, and I slipped a couple of times in my flip-flops. Totally not fun!
Make sure to check the weather before you go. I thought it'd be sunny but ended up caught in a drizzle. A light rain jacket would’ve been a lifesaver for me!
Henryk Jordan Park
If you love coffee, check out the little café inside the park. I found their prices surprisingly cheap for Krakow, and the view is lovely!
I suggest visiting early in the morning around 8 am for a peaceful stroll. The park is less crowded at that time and you can enjoy the tranquility and the fresh air.
Wroclaw South Park
I suggest bringing some games or a book. I had some down time while just enjoying the scenery, and it felt great to relax and unwind like that. Plus, it’s a great way to spend some chill time.
Pack a picnic! I found some great green spots to chill, and grabbing takeout from nearby shops saved me money. Plus, eating outdoors is such a nice vibe.
Park Staromiejski
I found the fountains and flowers stunning, but I suggest taking time to explore the less popular paths—they lead to some hidden gems and quiet spots away from the hustle.
Pack a picnic! I brought some snacks and enjoyed them by the pond. There's also some nice spots to sit and unwind, plus it saves money on food.
While there's some street parking, I recommend using public transport or a bike. It’s more convenient and saves you from hunting for parking spots which were limited during my visit
Tatra National Park
I suggest downloading the park map before you arrive. The signs can be tricky, and having it on your phone made it soooo much easier to navigate, trust me!
Bring cash for entry fees! I was caught off guard when I realized some places inside the park don't accept cards. Always good to have some in hand, just in case.
I recommend packing extra snacks and water. The hikes can be tougher than expected, and having food on hand saved me some time from looking for shops!
